I am a U.S.C.G. 100 ton Master Captain, with a commercial towing endorsement and I am a current member of the Drug Consortium (random drug testing). I have extensive experience on a variety of boats from small run-a-bouts to 110' offshore supply vessels. The geographical areas I have piloted include most of the Bahamas, Florida Keys, Gulf of Mexico, all of the State of Florida to New York City and north to Toronto and northern Canada. I have also cruised most of the Caribbean Sea to include Cuba, Puerto Rico, Grenada and Columbia. I am a certified scuba Master Diver with many other certifications. I also have a great deal of experience with ship systems and maintenance issues encompassing both gas and diesel. I am currently employed as a law enforcement professional with over 32 years experience to include S.W.A.T, K-9, Dive Team, Equestrian and Marine Patrol. I am near retirement and have a great deal of time off which allows me to pursue my captains business. I have never had any type of maritime incident and take this responsibility very seriously. I currently captain a 90' 129 ton lunch and dinner charter vessel as well as a 2002 565 Carver motor yacht that I maintain and operate for a corporation. I love all boats and treat them as if they were my own. I have a strong work ethic, easy-going personality, positive attitude, and would love to teach anyone willing to learn about boating and all it has to offer. I have many happy customers whom I have delivered for, instructed, and captained to various destinations. My detailed resume and references along with my license and credentials are available upon request. I look forward to seeing you on-board.

Good day. I've been an offshore charter boat captain for 10 years. I'm adept at the maintenance of all boat systems and can repair most. I've captained three boats in the Edisto Island, SC area, a 33' Bertram Sportfisher, a 32' Luhrs express and a 38' Bertram Widebody Sportfisher. I'm familiar with the US east coast as well as the western side of the Bahamas but am confident that I can navigate a boat to any location desired. I am looking for a boat to captain and/or charter as my present owner is looking to "move up" but won't be buying his new boat for at least a year. I want a long term commitment to provide a boat owner with all the services he wants, from boat relocation to fishing to chartering (if desired) as well as anything else he wants in order to insure the reliability and availability of his boat. I look forward to serving you. Capt. Jim Bost

I am a 200 ton licensed master, holding both American and British maritime licenses, with over 30 years experience and nearly 300,000 sea miles in the marine industry. I learned to dead recon navigate at the age of 6 on an old Monterey double-ender fishing boat that my dad (a retired airline pilot) bought to run between San Pedro and Catalina. Subsequently, my dad went to Holland and imported 7 Strikers to resell on the West Coast and spent much of my youth fishing from the Channel Islands to the Mexican border. My family later transplanted to Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands of Washington State and we lived on a small island in the harbor. My siblings and I ( eldest of 4 ) would go to school every day in a Boston Whaler. Weekends would be spent fishing and camping out on adjacent islands. Summers would be spent pulling salmon gillnet and commercial trolls in Washington and Alaska. My family still resides in the San Juans. I also fished longline for black cod off of Oregon. At 17, I enlisted in the US Coast Guard where I served onboard the Columbia River Lightship, went to Motorlifeboat School at the Columbia River Bar, attended the Coast Guard's Class A engineering school in Yorktown Virginia and served the rest of my time as engineer on Coast Guard Cutters in Hawaii, Alaska and the Gulf Mexico. As a yacht captain I have been based in South Florida since 1988. During that time, I have captained vessels to the Caribbean via Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands as well as worked for a resort as captain in Martinique running cruises to St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Bequia and the Grenadines. I also ran a large yacht from a resort in Aruba. Sportfishing background includes running various Hatteras, Ocean, Viking, Bertram and Striker boats. I once shipped a 54 Bertram from Savannah to Hong Kong where I splashed the boat from the ship and ran thru the Philippines, Palau, Yap, and to the vessel's base in Guam. I started up the charter business for the owners on Guam doing sportfish charters for Japanese tourists. I was also instrumental of starting an IGFA chapter on Guam. I have also fished 8 Hawaii International Big Game Tournaments out of Kona and three Bay of Islands tournaments in New Zealand. I am also a former commercial fisherman working in the salmon industry in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. I have delivered vessel between Florida and New England over 150 times, have 11 passages thru the Panama Canal taking boats between Florida and California and have years of experience in the Gulf of Mexico. Most of the time underway is doing the "low and slow" which means, lines in the water!! The majority of the vessels smaller than 70 feet have been managed and operated solo. On a personal note, I am an entertaining sort of chap; easy to get to know and strive to show everyone a great time. I have outstanding galley skills and have had recipes published in the past. I am single and sober. I greet each day with a big stretch and a big smile. I love my job! As previously outlined, I have strong mechanical aptitudes. An engineer qualified captain is a valued commodity. Preventative maintenance schedules are strictly followed. If there is one common compliment made by previous owners, it is that I have a keen attention to the details. Honesty, integrity and daily affirmations keep me centered. Other interests include trap and skeet shooting (I have been a skeet instructor), SCUBA diving (I have my own equipment), underwater photography and flying (I am an airline transport rated pilot) where I have crewed Learjets, Citations, Hawkers and Gulfstream jets. I sold my home in Fort Lauderdale last year and have no encumbrance to distract me from an extended voyage. I am currently finishing up a 7 month contract on a 63 Viking based in the Bahamas and I am available to start immediately. Qualifications USCG 100 ton master w/sail endorsement and commercial tow. FAA Airline Transport License. USCG Aux. Life Member Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association (Former Chief Engineer and Training Officer). I seek boat owners with vessels sized 50 ft. to 100 ft. that are interested in hiring me as captain for cruising, fishing, or diving throughout south Florida, Bahamas, and the Caribbean. I possess “full charge” competency and value the responsibilities of being in command. Boat owners, guests, and charter parties quickly recognize my professionalism in planning, provisioning, every day operation, and proficiency in making repairs, resourcefulness, and general vessel management. I served in the U.S. Navy upon small vessels on the U. S. east and west coasts and southeast Asia. I hold a U.S. Coast Guard Master 100 Ton license and have been captain on boats in size up to 85 ft. During my career, I have owned and operated boats having logged over 1500 days of sea time becoming mechanically proficient with experience in maintenance of reverse osmosis desalination plants, diesel engines, generators and air conditioning systems. As yacht captain, I have cruised throughout the east coast of Florida to Key West and most of the Bahamas. I am a successful sport fishing captain catching pelagic and bottom fish: drifting for swordfish, trolling for marlin, high-speed trolling for wahoo( placed 8th in 2003 and 6th. 2004 Bahamas Wahoo Championships), kite fishing for sailfish, deep water electric reel fishing for golden tilefish, yellow-eye snapper, queen snappers, assorted groupers, and can site and catch bonefish. Some of the most enjoyable fishing may be with light tackle utilizing chum to attract bottom fish including yellowtail, various snappers and groupers. I am an avid PADI certified diver and have exposed many boat owners and guests to diving with snorkel, and third lung to catch lobsters and shoot fish with an Hawaiian Sling. I consider myself to be presentable in appearance and personal dress/hygiene, sufficiently educated (MBA in Management) and well-rounded to carry conversation, coupled with a sense of humor to entertain. I look forward to demonstrating my knowledge, skills, and abilities as your captain.

I seek a position as manager/boat(s) captain of a large private estate located in a maritime environment, preferably in the Florida Keys, Bahamas, and Caribbean. As manager I would manage a permanent staff for cooking and housekeeping; maintaining the buildings, property and villas; sportfishing boat(s), and catering to the owners' visits as well as guests and business associates sent to enjoy the resort/estate, boat(s), fishing, and diving in the surrounding waters. My education includes a B.S. degree in Management and a Master's Degree in Business Administration with Emphasis in Management. I am experienced in managing and supervising human resources of Bahamian, Caribbean, Latin American, and Asian decent and have operating knowledge of most business practices and computer software applications. I have considerable experience in hands-on maintenance of buildings. My construction knowledge, skills and abilities, that I perceive to be of value in a remote location including concrete foundations, floors, setting ceramic tile, plumbing and electric repairs, hanging and finishing drywall, painting, shingling roofs and generally most repair/rehabilitation work required on buildings. I have been a boat owner and captain for over 30 years and therefore have substantial experience with diesel engines, generators, water pressure systems, reverse osmosis desalination plants, outboard engines, and both power and sail boats. I have been a successful fisherman for pelagic and bottom fish, and dive with snorkel, scuba tanks, and third lung.

I am a USCG Lic Captain, Master Grade 50 M Ton. I own Marinette Dream Cruises and Kentucky Yacht Charters which I founded with the idea of a relaxed, laid back environment where our customers enjoy the Ohio River on a clean well equipped and inspected Motor Yacht. Our number one priority is customer service. We own all of our boats and take pride in keeping every vessel inspected and in great shape for your boat charter. The history of Marinette yachts goes back to the mid 1950s until 1994, and to date they are still the only Motor Yachts ever built in Louisville, KY.

You will cruise the Ohio River visiting the abundant restaurants and entertainment spots it has to offer. You can try your luck at fishing or just lazily cruise and sight see. We specialize in Corporate Charters, Team Building events, Bachelorette Parties, Anniversaries, Honeymoons, or any other special occasion you think of. Cocktail Parties, Sunset Cruises or you can give a Dream Cruise away as a classy award or prizes at your next fund raising event.

Here at Marinette Dream Cruises and Kentucky Yacht Charters. Com we also provide USCG Licensed Captains for hire. We can facilitate and provide Yacht Captains if you need a professional to move your boat, help getting your boat to a hurricane hole before a storm hits, have a new boat and need some instruction or you want or need Lock and Dam instructions and operations.

As often as possible we will provide a captain that is employed by Kentucky Yacht Charters however we do retain a list of captains we use on call that we can and do recommend for outside employment. Although Kentucky Yacht Charters does not endorse or guarantee the performance of each of the delivery captains on our list, we have verified that they all have passed the rigorous testing required to obtain a captain's license from the US Coast Guard, and we have tested them for qualification operating our yachts.

WHATS A NICE JEWISH BOY DOING WITH A JOB LIKE THIS???? Yes, I may be “ONE OF A KIND”. Who ever heard of a JEWISH BOAT CAPTAIN? If you want a Captain that is a “YIDDISHER KOP” (Smart Person) who is also a “MENTSH” (Decent Person) who will take care of you or your boat like a “BALEBUSTE” (Excellent Homemaker) you found the correct person. I have been on or around the water for over 40 years. I know the waters of New York and Florida and all in-between. I now live in Orlando and can be anywhere in Florida in hours. I have a 100 Ton US Merchant Marine Officer License issued by the US Coast Guard. (Also with a Towing Endorsement – but you will never need that with me around) That does not make me a “MACHER” (Big Shot) but it does qualify me as a “MAYVEN” (Expert). With this license I can; Deliver you Boat or Yacht anywhere on the East Coast. Captain your vessel while you entertain. Move your boat or take it for service. Instruct you or your “ZEESKYTE” (Sweetie) on boat handling and “Rules of the Road”. Help you with boat trailering. Listen “BUBELE” (Darling) you would really like to use a Jewish Captain but have a few reservations. I know, you wonder how you got yourself into this “MISHEGAS” (Craziness) with a boat anyway? Call me on 407-399-8700 or send me an e-mail at mggh1@att.net and let’s talk. “OY” (A Disapproving Sigh) Aren’t you curious? “MAZEL TOV” (Congratulations) on having a beautiful Boat (Yacht). Now call me! By the way “GOYEM” are OK also! (I won’t translate that) “A SHEYNEM DANK” (Thank you very much)

Captain Barry Freeman: I am one of those rare native Floridians, born and raised in Orlando. I first discovered my love for the water and fishing at a young age. I spent many summers with my family at the beach, and on our boat, fishing off the east coast of Florida, as well the Bahamas. At the age of 19, I decided to make the ocean my life, and obtained my 1st issue of a 100 ton USCG Masters License. I spent the next 30 years from the Northeast to the Caribbean, both operating and owning a variety of vessels. Whether fun fishing, tournament fishing, or cruising the Islands, I am happiest when I am on the water.

I'm based out of Portland, OR and a Columbia River Pilot.

I have been in the marine industry my whole life, from my grandfather’s boat yard to my dad’s commercial fishing boat in Alaska. I have gathered my knowledge and experience from all over the world working in the marine industry. Crabbing in Alaska, Lobstering on the Grand Banks, Herring Seining in Ireland and cruising Glacier Bay Alaska to name a few. I began my career as a captain when I bought my own commercial fishing boat at the age of 19. I was the owner, operator, and captain of the F/V Sea Bird that I fished out of my home town of Naknek, Alaska on the edge of the Bering Sea. From there I have worked on many different kinds of boats all over the world.

Hello, my name is Michael Cusumano, and I retire from the U.S Marine Corps after 20 years the summer of 2010. Recently I received my OUPV license with commercial towing assist. I own and operate my own 46 foot Bristol Trawler and have extensive knowledge of all shipboard systems. I seek boat owners with vessels sized 50 ft. to 100 ft. that are interested in hiring me as captain for cruising, fishing, or diving throughout the country. I possess leadership to manage crew, competency to handle your vessel and value the responsibilities of being in command. Boat owners and guests, immediately recognize my professionalism, desire to achieve customer satisfaction and detailed planning. I am experienced in making repairs both while underway and pier side. I served in the U.S. Marines upon various Naval ships and small vessels on the U. S. West Coast, Arabian Sea, Persian Gulf, and Southeast Asia. I hold a U.S. Coast Guard OUPV license w/ commercial towing endorsement and have been captain on boats in size up to 50 ft. During my career, I have owned and operated boats having logged over 800 days of sea time becoming mechanically proficient with experience in maintenance of diesel engines, generators, air conditioning systems and electronics. I am offering my skills at competitive rates in order to build my experience and raise my grade to 100 ton master with near coastal endorsement someday. This means you get a superior Captain for CHEAP!!! I am a PADI certified open water diver. I maintain excellent appearance and personal dress/hygiene, sufficiently educated and well-rounded to carry conversation, coupled with a sense of humor to entertain. I look forward to demonstrating my knowledge, skills, and abilities as your captain. My commitment to you is that I will treat your vessel as I do my own. You will receive professional courteous and reliable service. In summary, I have been a boat owner and captain for over 15 years and therefore have substantial experience with diesel engines, generators, water pressure systems, and outboard engines.
